The Purple Nurple

One of the fun things about creating recipes for mocktails is that the teas that I experimented with are sometimes out of the typical beverage flavor profile and therefore provide something really unique. Such is the case with Purple Nurple. This was originally named the New Boobie as a post-surgery mocktail I created for a certain someone, but Purple Nurple was a bit more fun.
Like many of my recipes it starts with a cold tea, in this case lavender. Double brew it, and once you have cold lavender tea, it’s quite simple.
The link is to a lavender tea that is just lavender blossoms. You could substitute other lavender teas, but many of them I’ve found mingle other flavors such as blueberry, chamomile, mint, etc. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, it just doesn’t necessarily go with the mixer here.
I used Lacroix Limoncello but any lemon-only sparkling water should work. For what it’s worth the Limoncello was preferred over the regular LaCroix Lemon by my tasters.
The lemon twist really dresses it up as a mocktail. It takes a bit of prep, but it’s worth it. Video for lemon twist and other garnishes here.
Enjoy a Purple Nurple, or two!
